Islamabad United is yet to announce the squad for the PSL XI. The foreign players’ registration will end on 20 January 2026, while Islamabad United will announce the complete squad on January 30 during the PSL 2026 Players Draft.

About Islamabad United Team

Islamabad United is among the most successful teams in the PSL as IU was the first team ever to win two PSL championships, making them the best franchise in the Pakistan Super League.

The Islamabad United represents the Rawalpindi-Islamabad area with Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium as the home ground for PSL matches. Islamabad United is the first-ever champion of the opening season of PSL, beating Quetta Gladiators in the final under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq. After coming back stronger, the team clinched its second PSL title in 2018, demonstrating not only a well-balanced team but also excellent tactics.

Leonine Global Sports owns Islamabad United. The sports arm of Leonine Global Investments is led by siblings Ali Naqvi and Amna Naqvi. They bought the franchise in December 2015 for US$15 million over ten years.

In November 2025, they renewed the rights for 2026–2035. Under the new deal, they pay an annual fee of Rs. 480 million. The owners focus on building a winning culture with top talent and smart strategies. No major ownership changes have occurred since the start.

The franchise holds solid value in the PSL market. Recent valuations estimate the net worth at around PKR 860 million (about US$3 million). The growth reflects their success, fan base, and smart business moves. Islamabad United continues to invest in youth and global stars.
