The Quetta Gladiators have finalized a 22-member squad for the PSL 2027 season. Following the historic shift to a structured auction system in 2026, the Purple Force are building on their inaugural auction roster, with players retained or acquired during that process placed on two-year contracts covering both the 11th and 12th editions. Franchises were allowed to retain up to seven players for the upcoming season, and Quetta have kept their core intact while adding a few fresh faces.

The 2026 season marked a turning point for the HBL PSL as it transitioned from a draft to an auction format held at the Lahore Expo Centre. Quetta entered that first auction with a focused strategy, retaining four key domestic players: Abrar Ahmed, Usman Tariq, Hasan Nawaz, and Shamyl Hussain.
During the bidding war, they made headlines by securing Khawaja Nafay for a significant PKR 6.5 crore after an intense auction round. Their foreign contingent was bolstered by the direct signing of Spencer Johnson and the auction purchase of reliable South African batter Rilee Rossouw for PKR 5.55 crore.
Since players signed at the 2026 auction were handed two-year contracts, the core of that squad carries over into PSL 12. Quetta have also brought back left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, adding to their spin options alongside Abrar Ahmed.

About Quetta Gladiators Team
Baluchistan is represented by the Quetta Gladiators, who usually play their home games at neutral venues such as the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium due to logistical constraints.
In 2019, the Gladiators became the PSL champions after defeating the Peshawar Zalmi in the finals; however, they were also finalists in 2016 and 2017 under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The Pakistan Cricket Board granted ownership of the franchise to Nadeem Omar for $11.35 million, payable over 10 years. Nadeem Omar, in addition to being a dedicated businessman, is an avid cricket fan who has provided consistent guidance to the team.
In November 2025, Nadeem Omar extended the franchise rights for the next decade, 2026–2035, with the renewal based on the findings of a valuation conducted by Ernst & Young. The franchise’s annual fee has been set at PKR 34 crore. Sarfaraz Ahmed has moved into the coaching setup, handing the leadership reins to Saud Shakeel, who continues to captain the side for PSL 12.
