About Multan Sultans Team
Representing the historic city of Multan, Multan Sultans is one of the most consistent franchises in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Multan Sultans won their first PSL title in 2021, defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the final, under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan.
Originally established in 2018 as the 6th Franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Multan Sultans franchise was granted rights to operate by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for ten years for $5.2 million; this was, at the time, the lowest bid.
The PCB accused Ali Tareen of damaging the PSL and PCB’s reputation, and demanded an apology from him. As a result, Ali Tareen chose not to renew the franchise for the 2026 season, and the PCB will oversee the Multan Sultans team in its entirety. Checkout the Quetta Gladiators squad as well.
