HBL PSL 2027 Schedule

The twelfth edition of the Pakistan Super League – PSL 2027 is scheduled to start from March 18 to May 2, featuring 44 matches across approximately 46 days. The league continues with the expanded eight-team format for a second consecutive season, with all eight franchises returning to compete for the title. The two newest additions from 2026, the Hyderabad Kingsmen and the Rawalpindi Pindiz will once again be part of the competition.

PSL 2027 Schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the window for PSL 12 on October 8, 2026, after extensive consultation with all key stakeholders following the PSL Governing Council meeting held in London on September 1, 2026, attended by owners and representatives of all eight HBL PSL franchises. The PCB has confirmed that all eight teams will return for the 2027 season.

While the tournament window is confirmed, the full match-by-match schedule and venues for HBL PSL 2027 are yet to be officially announced. Based on the structure used in 2026 and statements from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the tournament is expected to return to a multi-city format, with matches likely to be played across traditional venues including Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The PCB Chairman has also confirmed that new cities will be added to the hosting roster for PSL 12, moving beyond the two-city restriction that was necessitated by the fuel crisis in 2026.

The expected format will feature 40 league-stage matches, followed by a Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the Final. Evening matches are expected to begin around 7:00 PM PKT, while afternoon fixtures on weekends could start at approximately 2:30 PM PKT.

Looking back at the history of the PSL, the league started with only four teams. Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Lahore Qalandars are the teams from the inaugural season. Later, in 2021, another team was added to the list: the Multan Sultans. From 2026, the Pakistan Super League features eight teams including two new teams Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz. PSL 12 will be the second season with this expanded eight-team format.
