Fakhar Zaman Involved in Ball Tempering Case in PSL 11 Match
Fakhar Zaman, the Lahore Qalandars batter has been charged with the level 3 offence by PCB for ball tampering in PSL 2026 match against Karachi Kings.
It all happened in the rivalry battle between Kings and Qalandars, before the last over began. The video footage shows that Fakhar Zaman was holding the ball in his hands in an appropriate way before handing it to Haris Rauf. The off-field umpire find it suspicious and inform the on-field umpires to check the ball if it’s tempered or not.
PCB charged the opening batter Fakhar Zaman with the level 3 offence right after the incident happened. After reviewing the footage of the incident, the Pakistan Cricket Board filed charges against him. In the hearing, Fakhar denied the ball-tampering charges, and another hearing may take place in 48 hours.
If Fakhar Zaman failed to satisfy the jury, then we might see a ban for one of two matches. Or if it gets worse, Fakhar Zaman may face a one-year ban from International cricket as well if found guilty.

Who was Involved in Ball Tampering in PSL 2026

The fast-pacer Haris Rauf and Skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi were also involved in ball tampering case in alongside Fakhar Zaman. The umpires checked the ball and replaced it before the last over kickoffs. At that time, Lahore Qalandars had to defend 14 runs in the last 6 deliveries. But the on-field umpires gave a five-run penalty for changing the condition of the ball.
Moreover, they also faced a slow-over-rate penalty, which caused an extra player to be added inside the circle. That made it pretty easy for the Karachi Kings to chase the target, which was reduced to just 9 runs. Despite that, Lahore Qalandars failed to defend the target and lost the match by four wickets.
